Be a Workshop Presenter
This year the economy is weighing heavily on everyone’s mind, compounding the challenges we already face. Therefore, this year’s Expo workshops will focus more than ever on practical skills and knowledge that our attendees can take home and immediately put to good use. We encourage workshops that inspire, empower and show how attendees can minimize consumption and maximize sustainability in their homes, businesses and personal lives.
Expo exhibitors and non-exhibitors alike are invited to submit workshop proposals as soon as possible, utilizing our standardized form (below). Submit as many proposals as you wish, but please, only one title per application. A maximum of 45 proposals will be accepted.
Workshops will be selected on the basis of uniqueness, relevance and educational value and are not intended to promote specific products. Each approved workshop title will be offered once during the two-day event. Up to six workshops may run concurrently. No workshops will run during keynote speeches.
Workshop Application Deadline: TBA
The following guidelines apply to all workshops:
• All workshops are held indoors except by special arrangement.
• Workshops run 70 minutes, including Q&A, with 10 minutes on either end for setup and cleanup.
• Room use, including AV equipment, is free of charge.
• Workshop scheduling and room assignments are at the discretion of the Expo organizers.
• Workshop presenters are not paid.
• Presenters are requested not to promote specific products during the workshop except in response to direct audience questions.
Please contact Lisa Olivas with any questions regarding workshops. Lisa will notify all applicants regarding workshop selection by April 2, 2010.
